Easy, step by step landscape painting three blue trees fan brush, round brush, acrylic paint and stretched canvas
This is a very simple painting to create for any level. You will need acrylic paint. Three colors: mars black, titanium white, and phthalo blue. Beggin with fan brush and white paint. First, cover entire canvas with titanium white acrylic paint. Second, load your #3 fan brush with black paint and starting from the very center of the canvas begin making upward brush strokes thus creating black and white trees in the background. After you are finished creating background trees, take 1 inch paint brush and with the side to side motion begin creating lay of the land by blending bottom of the trees with the white paint that you already have on the canvas. This will create illusion of surface reflection ‘black ice’. Note — be gentle with the pressure you apply to your brush. Now you are ready to start working on the trees. Using filbert brush create three tree trunks of the trees. Make sure to place them on different levels to create illusion of depth. Create small tree trunk shadow by using the same filbert brush and black acrylic paint you used to create the tree trunks. Following that, use round wax brush to paint the leaves of the blue trees by gently dabbing on the canvas. I used two different tones of blue — sky blue and phthalo blue. The dark blue will create a shadow and make dynamic appearance for the top of the trees. Add a little bit of white paint on top of the trees to show reflection of the light. And that is it!
