A terrible thing happened to me in a summer camp

Hey friends! Today Anna tell her story.
«I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. I liked kids, they liked me, and I could spend hours explaining some things to them. My ex-classmates said I could explain very well. Teaching is my everything. They even offered me to work at the university. I study there now. I think I’ll accept this offer, despite my dream to work with kids.
My talent for teaching helped me to get on well with them. We took part in different competitions. Kids made outfits from some materials they found. One of them could sing and another one could brilliantly play any musical instrument. He made a drum kit using some plates, a log and some plastic bottles. It was pretty cool.
When camp shift was about to end kids won the tickets to the art gallery. It was a prize for their creativity. However, there was one thing: only me and my colleague had to be responsible for 12 kids ‘cause no adults could help us.
I saw at once that Angelina was missing. She has always been sharp, challenging and very noisy. Silence in the group was a strange thing. We were in a coat check, I was helping a boy to put on his coat and I realised I didn’t see Angelina’s fair head. Of course, we started searching for her immediately. I could be sued for this! Our licenses could be cancelled. I was thinking every possible situation that could have happened while the police were checking the cameras. The reality turned out to be much worse than I expected.
Finally, we managed to get what had happened. Angelina’s parents are divorced. Her father didn’t live with them, but she spent some weekends at his place. His apartment was near the art gallery and he decided that it would be a good idea to take his daughter home. He called his ex-wife and Angelina went home with him.
The police called the parents first. It took some time to find the father and his address. Then the police woke sleepy and very busy mum up. The kid came out from her room in her sleepwear with dinosaurs. Her parents were writhing explanations to the police till the morning.
She sued the head counselor for «pulling her out from her busy life».
I resigned. I was very scared and didn’t want to continue working, despite the pay rise offer. I didn’t want this story to repeat.
I am still studying to be a teacher, but I think I won’t work with kids any more. It’s better to work with students who are responsible for their actions». Источник видео youtube.com/watch?v=dXXVx975OQ0
