I will have tutorials for the other three ice creams from my banner out soon. I planned to do a tutorial on all of them in one video, but it’d be over ten minutes!
Notes:
* Liquid FIMO will lower the mixture’s viscosity without sacrificing its color. TLS would lighten the color, so you’d have to add more pastels.
** To make rainbow sprinkles: Thinly roll out each color of clay individually. Bake for five minutes. Use a blade to chop them up into little pieces. Careful not to inhale any clay particles (I’d recommend wearing a mask!).
*** Oxymoron!
**** If you don’t have a clay extruder, you can also try using a piping bag. Youtuber RRcherrypie has an excellent tutorial on how to make your own miniature decoration tip:
***** Sorry you can’t see exactly how I’m extruding the clay! This is the most difficult step for me and the camera’s at an awkward angle… Anyway, here are some tips:
• Practice a few times on a flat surface before you begin on the cone.
• Go slowly. Match the extruding speed with how fast you move the extruder.
• Start with a large circle at the base of the cone and proceed with incrementally smaller circles.
• Watch a few videos on how the real version is served! ‘Tis mesmerizing.
So many asterisks… They look like censored words. :I
Hope this helps!
