Making a GFRC precast concrete baluster
е:
Copying and reproducing a GFRC precast concrete or cast stone baluster.
This project involved removing and copying a 1920s baluster pin from a historical building. The order was for reproducing 200 GFRC precast concrete baluster pins. This video shows the process from start to finish. The tempoary baluster pin mold was made from gypsum, if this was a more permenant mold it would be made from reinforced fiberglass resin. We have a weekly seminar to teach students how to make GFRC precast concrete, dry cast, cast stone and drypack products from gypsum or fiberglass molds and GFRC precast concrete or cast stone, dry cast product.
